Outcome Measurements
Primary outcome measurement is the change in PANSS score from the beginning to the end of the double-blind treatment phase, weeks 2-14. Secondary outcomes will be changes in cognitive functioning based on the MATRICS28 which will be measured at the beginning and end of the trial. Other secondary outcomes include improvement in GI symptoms, including: abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and diarrhea.
