Results
Two hundred patients were randomized to receive either the ayurvedic medications or olanzapine. One hundred seventy three patients completed the study. Both groups appeared to show a significant benefit on the PANSS. However, the results are difficult to interpret as the study was not blinded, and a wide variety of adjunctive medications were also allowed.
