Results
Forty-one obese patients with schizophrenia completed the 10-week trial on adjunct sibutramine or placebo. The sibutramine-treated patients lost more weight (2.2±3.4 kg) than the placebo group (0.7±2.3 kg), but the difference was not significant (p=0.1). There were also no significant differences on measures of BMI, BMR, glucose, or cholesterol.
