PANSS, SANS, Calgary Depression Scale, CGI, Quality of Life Scale, Overt Aggression Scale, Cognitive Battery

Results

Eighteen patients with the low-activity variant of catechol-o-methyl transferase were enrolled. There were no significant differences between drug and placebo groups on PANSS, Calgary Depression Scale or the Cognitive Battery. Patients receiving SAM-e had significant improvements on the CGI, the Quality of Life Scale and the Overt Aggression Scale.
