The deadline for Research Grant Program applications is March 1 of each year.

Beginning in March 2008, the research grants program will be reorganized to focus on two main project areas in addition to treatment trials:

       I.      Infectious, immunological, and biomarker research

      II.   Neuropathology

The program will now include all grant proposals that are not Treatment Trial Grants or Drug Development Projects. Research Center Grants and Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards are no longer being awarded.

There are two levels of funding available:

1. Level One Awards (up to $75,000 per year for one or two years)
2. Level Two Awards (up to $150,000 per year for up to three years)

Indirect costs should total no more than 15 percent of your total proposed budget.
